Ben “REDD” Rojas
Award-Winning Editor, Producer, Director
Ben "REDD" Rojas is an award-winning editor, producer, and director with nearly three decades of experience shaping the creative landscape in television, film, and digital media. His journey began unexpectedly in the hospitality industry, where he worked for Marriott Hotels. It was here that he developed a team-driven mindset and a relentless drive to exceed expectations—traits that would later define his work in entertainment.
A childhood passion for music—particularly club DJ’ing throughout the 90s—sparked Ben’s interest in the audio world, honing his sound design skills. He further refined his craft at Florida International University’s School of Journalism & Mass Communications, where he gained a strong foundation in media production and storytelling. However, it was through years of hands-on editing and producing that Ben truly polished his creative talents.
Ben's career spans some of South Florida’s most renowned production facilities. He helped establish KSC KREATE’s video and film division and later launched KREATE FILMS. He also contributed to the opening of VTA FL (Vision Touch Amplify) in Hollywood and worked with industry leaders like Manhattan Transfer Miami, Estefan Television Productions, BVI (Broadcast Video Inc.), and the Discovery Production Group. In 2000, Ben took on a pivotal role as Chief Editor at the newly launched PanAmerican Sports Network, where he helped shape the network’s post-production direction.
Over the years, Ben has become a go-to creative force for both brands and networks, delivering high-quality editorial and production services. His clients include top-tier brands such as Benefit Cosmetics, City Furniture, Karisma Resorts, Turbana Banana, and the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, as well as major networks such as ESPN, Discovery, and NBC Telemundo.
Ben’s work in film began in 2005 with the action-packed dark comedy Hitters Anonymous, starring Steven Bauer, Clint Howard, and Linda Blair. He continued to make his mark with several notable projects, including the psycho-thriller JARRING (2009), the satirical short Renting Washers (2010)—which won Bronze at the 2011 Park City Music Film Festival—and Finding Joy (2012), a romantic comedy starring Josh Cooke and Barry Bostwick. In 2021, Ben collaborated again with director Ivo Raza on the award-winning short 17 Hours In Bed and the feature film Reboot Camp.
Since 2015, Ben has served as the Miami Heat's Colorist and Online Editor for the Emmy Award-winning program Inside The Heat.
In 2017, long-time client Discovery, Inc. (now Warner Bros. Discovery) tapped Ben to help transition the Discovery Family Channel to Miami, where he now serves as Manager of Creative Content and Post-Production. Always pushing creative boundaries, Ben has directed and produced high-performing content such as the "Shark Days of Summer" and "Wild Days of Summer" shorts. These programs, which air annually on DFC, consistently garner high ratings on both linear and digital platforms. Recent creative on-air and social media campaigns have included spring, summer, and holiday baking hacks and stop-motion animation for network IDs.
Recently, Ben color corrected and helped with visual effects for “Crack Cocaine”, the new hit song by Ozzy Osbourne and Billy Morrison.
Whether in short or long format, for brands, networks, or content creators, Ben “REDD” Rojas remains a visionary in the world of creative editorial, production, and post-production. His work reflects a passion for storytelling, a commitment to excellence, and a knack for thinking outside the box.
